Key Objectives:

The Airport Ramp Services course is aimed at employees responsible for the successful preparation of aircraft prior to take off. During the course, trainees will be introduced to the airside environment and airport ramp services, as well as learn about ramp security awareness, ground service equipment, standard operating procedures, and other relevant topics.

Upon completing this course, the trainee will get knowledge necessary to:


•  Define the ground operations work environment
•  Understand standard ramp operations terminology
•  Understand the different departments within an airport and how they work together for successful operations
•  Discuss basic safety and security guidelines for efficient airport operations
•  Identify procedures for key aircraft ground servicing tasks
•  Use both the standard ATA Airport Handling Manual and the IATA Ground Operations Manual
